JUMPING LIKE JORDAN

The Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red” were expected to be released on March 28th which would’ve marked the 30th anniversary of the day Michael Jordan scored 69 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers (March 28, 1990). The release date was postponed to May 2nd, just yesterday. Unlike previous retros, this pair features silver reflective finishes on the tongue, yet it is still identical to the OG pair from 1990, with its black midsole with Fire Red shark teeth.

This release could not have come at a better time with the Michael Jordan documentary series, The Last Dance, currently aired on ESPN. It tells the story of the Chicago Bulls’ 1997-1998 season through a time capsule with never-before-seen footage, taking an in-depth look into this dynasty that has been a much needed distraction from this pandemic.
